First off, Mandy and I want to wish you a belated Happy Independence Day! Yes, I had to cook Mandy's food on the 4th of July, but it was well worth it to see her face. I hadn't the time to cook her food in time for her to have homemade breakfast, and she had to eat like a dog for the first time in over a year! Let's just say she was not impressed. So, not only did I cook her food, but I also made cookies for all the dogs. The recipe made 70 cookies. If you want to make the recipe, follow instructions in a previous post on Chicken and sweet potato cookies. These are slightly different, in that they do not have the sweet potato chunks. It was all mashed up after baking in the oven at 375 F for a couple of hours. Skin removes easily. Used some of the water from cooking the chicken, in place of plain tap water. The food... I think I used 3-4 chicken breasts, boneless, skinless. A small package of pre-cut pork (For stew) Depending on the size of your dog, you may need to cut these into smaller pieces. Italian Parsley 1 orange pepper 1 Acorn Squash 1 yellow summer squash 1 small slice watermelon. (Be careful to remove the seeds. Chop into small chunks.) A good amount of brown rice. I cooked it in the remaining water from the chicken. Don't cook the watermelon! Refer to old posts for more detailed instructions on how to cook the food. This is really a combination of a couple different recipes. Thanks for stopping by!
